thank uu!! i am enjoying them! i’m trying to throw a bit of One piece and Naruto in there .. i know it’s gonna be a lot so I’m writing down all i know so far! I really love JJBA’s art style!!! (⊃^o^)⊃

Ok funnily, Im VERY picky about my anime and frankly dont enjoy the kind of classic and / or modern styles. It really has to be anime that DOES something that draws my attention. JJBA is knoooown for its art but its also satire on anime as a whole. Everything in JJBA is deadly serious no matter how absurd. My biggest issue is most anime really force "anime moments" into their pacing with tension breaks and comedic characters and derailing from their visual style for those silly low budget moments. And frankly its a huge turn off for me. Mob Psycho is sort of on the level of JJBA but tells a story of personal growth surrounding Mob. Again, yes it has its humor moments, but its not breaking the tone of the moment JUST for the comedic effect. Attack on Titan is just a masterpiece of art, storytelling and visual style. I very much enjoy that AoT takes itself seriously all the way through and dedicates itself to its visual continuity - its telling a serious story. I cant sit through Chainsaw Man or JJK or Demon Slayer or MHA type anime because of their need to cater to the audience over creating a work of art in the creators vision. I really prefer anime as an art form ig, a medium to tell a story, an expression of the creator. Gachiakuta and Scissor Seven are also highly recommended from me. Gachiakuta does have its silly moments but Gachiakuta is different. Every moment of "not the action scene" is just as relevant to the story, theres no "oh yeah this episode is just kind of filler" moments. Scissor Seven is my outlier, it doesnt take itself seriously at all. Its loosely got a story, it breaks character all the time, but its because the anime is ABOUT doing those things. Its purpose is to be lighthearted and that sets it apart from being in the middleground between most animes breaking up that hyper serious story with a forced comedic character. Oop Im rambling :)

heyy! rambling is okay, i like deep talks about anime! I LOVE AOT!!! it was one of my first 100 animes! i got a levi funko.. i get wht you mean though, for me im not picky i’ll watch something but i do get that feeling of those ‘anime moments’ (sometimes i cringe up and skip past) because of my adhd, i watch anime while doing something so that’s why i find myself getting through long animes easier. since im stuck at home currently, i just watch multiple animes through a cycle: aka: 4 hours of one anime, and i usually go through 3 a day. what draws me into animes is when people hate it (?), for some reason i like to watch animes that people see negatively, but not ones that are weird. tbh, i have some hard times watching MHA, CSM, Demon slayer (I didn’t really like it tht much), and JJK (because of my sister). I mainly watch romance, magical girl or slice of life or shoujo but i mainly watch shōnen anime and seinen anime so my friends can talk about it more (and so i can broaden my ideas on anime since my first introduction was through sailor moon and precure. i have watched gachiakuta (by the request of my friend!) i really like it! the only thing i can’t stand is badly placed self inserts or the ‘little sister’ stuff. i am a bit simple brained (to my own detriment) but i like the both sides of things, i can hate something but respect it at the same time. i think my biggest flaw is when i like a character more than the show so i sort of disregard some issues in animes.. my biggest bone to pick in anime is 7 deadly sins. the plot is like when i try to write in calligraphy ink; blotchy, all over the place and not neat. the way it ended (in the anime) was one of the only animes i did not cry to at the end!! the creepy fan service made me irritated.. but no, continue rambling! i would like to hear more. (✺ω✺)

Fist 100 anime omg TwT idk if Ive watched 30, again Im picky lmao. AoT is top 3 for me just because it dedicates itself to its story. I like when a series has a vision, a story to tell - its an art form. Not to say I hate on less put together works but time, effort, and passion are recognizable and thats what truly draws me to anime. I prefer to sit down and digest what I watch, I cant split my focus and just have something playing because then my ability to do both things falls apart lol. ★ I typically watch shonen just because that was, and is, the culture for young guys. Ive been interested in other generes but theres so much and everyone will always recommend any anime bc every anime has someone passionate about it. Makes it hard to really sift through to what interests me though. Frieren has been a nice transitional piece though, I loooove the atmosphere - being about a post "shonen" storyline focusing on the day to day. Delicious in Dungeon has my favorite worldbuilding of any anime ever though. Again, about the characters and putting them in their world, not focused on powerscaling an individual or having an overarching antagonist. Id like to delve more into anime that focus more around building the world and characters than typical shonen plots... theyre just so copy paste at this point... ★ Im keen to try things like Sailor Moon as Ive had friends who grew up with it and recommend it. Im not well versed in what else is good in that sphere of anime so I dont really know where to start, if you have reccomendations. ★ Any anime that has questionable fan service or tropes I just have to turn off, it makes me kind of sick thinking people arent tearing down these creators for including content like that. And whats worse is that its aimed at a younger audience so theres a higher probability kids arent going to have as strong morals or maybe they wont even question those tropes at all. Its a big influence on why I look for the vision and passion in anime. ★ I LOVE YAPPING

i mainly got into magical girl animes from my sister (she initially brought me into watching anime, she’s a massive fan of precure) i do have some recommendations, but i’m gonna put them on a seperate page for brevity because i have a LOT of recommendations for practically anything! most times i have to put on 2 screens at once, it’s easy to drain out any thoughts i might have and i think it actually helps me engage (i don’t have low attention span, but because i have adhd it does help for me to do one thing: working on this lurk or doing some art or cleaning to help me focus. since all these animes i’m watching are going to take up a lot of time, i find it easier to do it like this (i’m already on ep60 on one piece and ep 20 for jjba and ep 12 of mob psycho i do squish some animes inbetween like chainsmoker cat, tokyo ghoul and deathnote) but i heard steel ball run came out!! i watched the trailer on netflix, i think they’re cool! i only started getting back into anime recently (i got bullied for it, and i felt ashamed but i’ve gained back my confidence) and im realising the love for myself that i gain from watching anime is far more than fitting in. i live in a particularly modern place where difference is treated as a threat. anime is my outlet to just be myself, i get really emotional over anime, atp im just speaking. but yea, i see the appeal in these animes. i really like them.
